NORTHERN NEW MEXICO ELK HUNTS, MULE DEER HUNTS AND TURKEY HUNTS. OKLAHOMA TURKEY & WHITETAIL HUNTS. TEXAS PRONGHORN HUNTS.
New Mexico Elk - Our New Mexico Elk hunting is done on private land in a unit with the highest success rate in the state. This assures you of a guaranteed tag, and better hunting. The Chama area is located in the San Juan Mountains with a an Elk population in the thousands. The average size of the bulls in this area are 280 B&C. Bulls scoring 300-350 are not out of the question as evidence by the half-dozen or so taken each year. A 370 B&C bull was taken in 2007. Hunters can expect to see many animals in their 5 day hunt, and will get their opportunities at a braggin' sized bull. The elevation of 7500 to 10,000 ft. provides diversity in terrain and habitat necessary to have elk 365 days a year. Archery Elk hunts are conducted in September during the peak of the rut. Lots of action, with a high opportunity rate!! The rifle hunts take place during the rut in early October and run through the late season in December. Late season hunts for trophy bulls in New Mexico can be some of the most exciting hunts all year. I have hunted this area two years in a row in late January. We saw between 3-10 bulls every day! These spot & stalk hunts are great for curing the off season hunting blues. If you are looking for that trophy bull, we can offer a high chance of success.
New Mexico Mule Deer - Our outfitter in New Mexico has a great ranch for Mule Deer hunting in the San Juan Mountains. You will see a lot game on this hunt, while staying in a comfortable log cabin in the middle of the scenic New Mexico Mountains. An added bonus, is the wide variety of trophy Trout in the streams & ponds close to your cabin. Fish well over 20” are common in the clear high mountain waters. The Bucks of Northern New Mexico are BIG mature Mule Deer. His Deer hunters were 10 for 10 in 2003, with two bucks scoring over 180 B&C & two bucks scoring over 200 B&C!! His 2004 Deer hunters went 8 for 10, with some nice bucks being taken, as well. 2005 produced many more nice bucks including another buck that made the all-time B&C record book. He also offers combo hunts for Mule Deer & Elk during the same hunts. The bulls of northern New Mexico will be 5x5 or 6x6’s that average around 270-300 B&C pts. Expect 100% opportunity on these hunts. The 17,000 acre ranch consists of mountainous terrain with Pines, Aspens, streams, & open meadows.
NM Turkey - Call now & book a hunt in pursuit of the most beautiful subspecies of wild Turkey. The beauty of those white-tipped fans and the surrounding scenery make this a hunt so spectacular that it is a must for any and all Turkey hunters. Although, not nearly abundant as the Rios, several consecutive good hatches have brought the Merriam's turkey populations to an all time high on this ranch. While on your hunt, enjoy fantastic fishing for Rainbow Trout, and see lush green meadows filled with Elk and Mule Deer.
Oklahoma Turkey - Oklahoma is home to one of the highest concentrations of Rio Grande Turkeys found anywhere. Our outfitter leases approximately 20,000 acres of the finest habitat for the exclusive enjoyment of the hunters. Large groves of cottonwoods provide roost trees along river and creek bottoms and sage, oak, and sumac offer ample loafing and nesting areas. Many of our properties also have winter wheat fields intermixed giving the gobblers a great place to strut their stuff while the hens are feeding. Hunters are often astounded at the number of Turkeys they see and the amount of gobbling they hear during a three day hunt. Most of them return year after year knowing they will bag at least one big Tom and most likely get both birds they are allowed on this hunt. That is due in large part to the excellent guides/callers. They know the country, the birds, and know how to run the calls.
Texas Antelope - 100,000 acres of rolling plains, sagebrush and farmland comprise the heart of this premiere trophy antelope area. All the ingredients come together in this well managed 150 square mile area situated in the far north western corner of the Texas Panhandle. 15 inch plus antelope are plentiful and shots at 14 inch or better bucks are guaranteed. Our hunters continue to enjoy 100% success, with majority meeting Texas Trophy Club standards by scoring from the mid-seventies to low-eighties. Boone and Crockett bucks definitely roam the area as well.
